You know when the honeymoon period is over with an artist. It's usually around 6-12 months after the artist's breakthrough signal, once we start to view them as another celeb instead of a "humble/down-to-earth" star who is a breath of fresh air (e.g. Babes Wodumo). Once the honeymoon period is over, we start to realise that our faves come with a few not-so-favourable traits.
The latest celebrity to finally reach the end of what has been a lengthy honeymoon period is Nasty C. The rapper is well-loved and well supported in SA, but we've all begun to realize that he's a bit on the arrogant side.
Asked to address this in a recent interview, Nasty C hit back in fine fashion and defended himself:
"I'm not arrogant. I'm just confident. And no, that doesn't mean I 'shade' other people or that I'm better than anyone else in the music industry. I know my craft and how much work I've put into it. I know how much it has changed my life,"
